beach ball

My belly is getting so big! Yesterday at church I was looking down at it and tried to adjust my dress but the shape of it could not be disguised...it looks like a beach ball under my shirt! It is kind of funny looking because my chicken legs stick out the bottom of it and it looks a little ridiculous, but in a cute pregnant way (I hope). I found this photo on the web...it made me laugh because that is how I feel sometimes!

Sunday Dinner

This dinner was really yummy. I love coming home from church and smelling a roast cooking as I walk through the door. I love hot rolls. And I love that my husband got almost everything ready for this meal (he makes gravy from scratch, people). Takes the pressure off being a good "Mormon mom" that makes Sunday dinner for her family. My job? Instant mashed potatoes and some veggies...this is the life.

our new temple

Had a great opportunity to visit our new temple last night! It is really pretty. I wish our bishop would have gotten the top of the temple in this shot. The white steeple thing at the top rounds off into a dome and then there is Angel Moroni on the top. But...great to visit the temple one last time before baby comes...who knows when we will get back there!

"That Looks Fun"

Like mother, like daughter and like father like son...as the sayings go. I was scubbing dishes the other night and little P comes over and says, "That looks fun." So she pushed a chair over and started to help.
Today while the Man was cooking our Sunday dinner, the Boy wanted to help cook. He loves to help cook. Let's hope the "fun" of it doesn't wear off too soon!

The Devil in Disguise

I was going through some recipes last week and came across one for Oatmeal Fudge Squares that I used to make when I was at Dixie. This is the most evil, yet divine yummy treat. I am going to post the recipe but take note of the following warning.

another break

we needed another break today...sounds like I am not doing anything but taking breaks, but it is actually really hard to unpack non-stop...not just that it is a lot of work, but that letting the kids just be on their own for hours takes a toll on them, as well. The three of us have been cooped up in this box-piled apartment for 10 days with no phone or internet. Yeah, it was time to get out again. So we found this cool park and played for a bit. (By the way...I have phone and internet now! Whew, it is sooooo nice!)

taking a break at the lake

On Saturday, we all needed a break from the apartment and hard work so we drove out to Matt Warner Reservoir. Most of you know my maiden name is Warner. Well, this reservoir was named after my great grandfather. He was an outlaw for many years and eventually came clean and paid his debts to society and became a respected public leader in Price, UT. This was very cool for me to visit this beautiful lake with my family and remember all the stories I've read and heard about my crazy great grandpa!
We had a great time together, caught some nice fish, enjoyed the cool air, and grilled some yummy burgers! A refreshing break from unpacking!

We're Here

Our apartment was so insanely stacked with boxes at first...we are gradually making this place a home...unpacking one box at a time.

We could have never done this move without our awesome help...Craig, Matt, Abbey, Tyrel, and Dad! and also Bart from the ward...the only ward member who came to help us! We love and appreciate all of you. If it weren't for these people, we'd still be in Logan loading the Uhaul and cleaning under our fridge.

So here is us at our new home...

putting together bunkbeds home from his first day at the new job, standing by his brand new truck. Our apartment is there in the background (ours is the white door on the top left).
the kids finding anything on the ground and playing with it (see bottle caps at bottom of photo)
counting antelope during the first week on the jobthe first room that was completely unpacked...yee haw! We love our new kitchen. New cabinets, tile, oven/stove, refrigerator, and sink. (Is it wrong to be a little happy that the previous tenant started a grease fire and everything had to be replaced?)
our stack of flattened boxes that we've unpacked...and we still have a long way to go!

THE MOVE

We started really packing on Monday and picked up our 26 foot Uhaul truck (biggest one they have) on Friday and started loading it then.

since we had no kitchen table, I made the kids a sandwich and told them to go outside. They walked out the front door 3 feet and sat down by the steps to eat their lunch...not worrying about the guys trying to move furniture out to the truck. Kids are so funny.
We had a lot of great help, but everyone got a little worn out and had to take a drink break. And our help had to drink out of whatever they could find...Sully mug? No problem!
these guys look way too happy and cute to be movers!
Ok, just a little embarrassed to post this pic...but then I thought, who REALLY moves their fridge to clean under it? My clean freak sister, MAYBE. But if you rent, I know you've never cleaned under your fridge because you know you will just do it when you move out anyway. Hats of to Dax who cleaned all the grossest stuff so I wouldn't have to. What a guy.
We slept on the floor Friday night...our last night in our apartment. We were all so exhausted! Too bad it was a horrible night's sleep (for the adults anyway)!

Hooray! Saturday morning, we finally packed every last thing and finished cleaning. Everything we own filled this truck completely. Time to drive to our new home!

we made it!

I forgot just how much work moving is! But, we are here and things are going well. Work is going to pay for us to have DSL and I am so pumped. When we are all set up, I will blog! And it won't even take 5 minutes to upload a photo! WOO HOO!

RED

had a great time visiting my family and seeing my sis's new baby get blessed. the day we left for home, we noticed that all the girls were wearing red shirts and had to snap this pic. It was supposed to be just girls, but Hunter saw that he, too had red on, and how do you tell an excited 3-year-old he can't join the picture?

hair cut

This is not a fun occasion at my house. This kid does NOT like this. But, it must be done and there is no way he'd let a stranger do it. This hair cut was actually the best one we've had yet. Maybe he is finally big enough to just deal with it!
